BT Sport's coverage of the Man U match
Un fucking believable.

The two 'expert' pundits were Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes, and the co-commentator was Owen fucking Hargreaves!

Hargreaves sounded like he was gonna top himself when our goals were going in.

At least try and pretend not to be biased, FFS.

Agree that I remember that Sky DID used to have some sort of balance of pundits for their televised game.
Seems odd that now that they and BT seem to have a cast of thousands that they put out panels like we saw for our games v Liverpool & Man U ie ALL RED.

There is some requirement to show all the teams to a certain extent .... hence games like Cardiff v Burnley buried as one game on Ryder Cup Sunday. The good thing for Sky is that they now have Alex Scott who they can send off to do games like this .... tick the GENDER box and all their expensive pundits get to skip it and save themselves for Liverpool v Man City.

I hope we humiliate a few more before the season's out.

I'm beginning to think that's at least possible.

Problem with having a line up of Scholes, Rio and Owen is that there's barely a personality between them.

They may as well get Phil Neville in there alongside them.

Danny Gabbidon's also a TV pundit, but mainly seems restricted to commenting on Welsh football.

Which is a shame.

Re: BT Sport's coverage of the Man U match
I view the punditry differently. From my perspective the media, as a whole, are only too pleased to see a big club going through difficult times. Naturally one or two players, now pundits, still have a loyalty for their old teams and so find it difficult to be objective but the rest of them relish the chance to exploit ManU’s troubles.

We should as fans welcome the fact that rather than a top two or three teams there is now a top six because it is providing more competition in order to keep up with Man City and qualify for the CL.

Re: BT Sport's coverage of the Man U match
The vast majority of the football supporters attending matches don't support the Mancs or Liverpool, but the media all report from a perspective that everybody wants them to win. Therefore they highlight the misfortunes when they concede rather than giving credit to team scoring. You could say that this reporting is biased and unfair, but it has been going on for decades now

Re: BT Sport's coverage of the Man U match
Sky used to have one guest associated with each team on to give a balanced view. Don’t seem to do this too much any more. BT don’t even bother. Just fill the studio or booth with Manc or Scouse faces. I suppose it makes sense in a way seen as they are both on telly every fucking week. BT may as well be Liverpool or Man U TV to be honest.

The sad truth is that because all they show and talk about are those 3-4 teams that people only end up supporting them as they think there’s no other option. But then the more people who choose to support them, the more clamour there is to show those games every week.

Did someone say the other day that every single Man U game has been televised this season so far? Wouldn’t surprise me.

They really need to have an agreement where every team is on a more or less even amount of times for the good of the game, but they won’t because the only thing the league and the broadcasters care about is ad revenue.

You got to take into account Johnathan Pearce is a jabbering idiot. Him,Savage. And Alan Green all should be kept away from the airwaves.

Does anyone really care what any of these numpties say?

Like others have said, MU are one of the clubs that more of the viewers/listeners will be interested in, so it doesn't surprise me in the least that the studio monkeys spend more time talking about them.

Didn’t watch it as I was at the game but if it really bothers you that much turn the volume down on your tv.

Re: BT Sport's coverage of the Man U match
There's probably a "gentleman's agreement" between Man U's corporate affairs department and the media, whereby the commentators get a free pint at Old Trafford for every 20 times they mention Manchester United, with a free whisky chaser for the most obscure excuse used to lob their name into any match commentary.

another reason why man utd are so hated its all the bias they get when on any tv channel

All I have heard so far this season is pundits having a pop at what a complete and utter mess they are so how is that bias???

Yeah weird that ... seeming as he is a regular popping over our place seeing the old coaches and giving words of advice to the youthies etc.... maybe he's a spy yeah??

Re: BT Sport's coverage of the Man U match
Given that the ex-players of Man Utd and Liverpool make upheavals vast majority of commentary teams, it’s harldy surprising that they a mite biased.
Tat said, Ferdinand has definitely forgotten his roots. Scholes is a twat anyway. Would’ve held the world record for red cards if were not a Manc.
NBC coverage was damned good actually. Also had loads of Yank fans from both teams represented quite equally. Rather liked the ‘get the Yank to eat an English breakfast’ segment,
